So not much has happened since my last logging... it's now Sunday morning and I'm writing as I wait for my project to print out. (Good thing about graphic design is that you can create your own presents easily! Gotta love that!) Unfortunately, the present is a few weeks late. Not good! Oh well, it's the thought that counts right? I think she forgot about mine as well... I don't mind.

You know, I'm really struggling with this off season thing knowing that I have such big events in my scope. I always just want to go out there and take on the world right away while I still have the motivation, but I realize, and have been told many times by my dear friend that I need to slow down or I'll never make it. I guess now is a good time to start taking it easy as my knees are not doing that well and my muscles are sore and fatigued (although I truly feel that is because I am coming down with something.) I guess this is a hard reality for me to face because my life/workouts has been scheduled this way for pretty much the past 2 years and I enjoy working out and love eating candy! Halloween kills me!

Anyway... I've been teaching quite a few cycling classes and pushing through bodypump around 3 times a week, throwing a few other, random workouts in there along the way. The running is still sketchy because of my knees and that is really frustrating but hopefully with enough prayers they'll shape up soon. As of right now, I'm a little nervous of the swim. I've got some major stroke modifications to make and right now they feel very off and I'm still not sure that I am really doing it right. Our instructor is cool though and an awesome swimmer so I will trust that he will make me a pro by the end of it (if not, I guess I'll be signing up again for the next session!) I did however try the "flipturn" this past Tuesday and almost died from massive water intake. It was actually pretty funny. Not sure if we'll give those another try in the near future!

Otherwise, not much has been going on... Jen came down from LaX this weekend which was fun. I really miss having her around. We caught a few movies with the guys (not that I saw either) and got in a few workouts which was fun and motivating to have her back in the saddle next to me. I'll tell ya, we make a mean apple crisp as well! Also had my first experience squeezing 4 people into a bed (cal. king so it was a quite large, but a little narrower than a regular king.) I must say it was fun though!

Well, I guess at this point that's about it. I really hope to get my workout schedule somewhat figured out in the near future... maybe this week. I've been looking into training with heart rate monitors and whether that would be a beneficial addition to my workout plan. Some people swear by it but truthfully, I don't know if i have enough knowledge about it to have it make a difference. I guess I'll keep digging and see what I come up with.

With that, I'm out for the night. Sorry for the randomness... the tiredness must finally be getting to me!
